Founded in 2020 by David Wong—the visionary behind the Hong Kong Pearl Cultivation Association and the award-winning author of Pearl Decoded – Understand Popular Science through the Lens of a Pearl Farmer (珍珠解碼—進入科普世界) is the culmination of two generations and over 30 years of pearl industry expertise. We don't just teach science; we guide the next generation to rediscover the mysteries of the ocean and take up the mandate of sustainable stewardship.

Meet David Wong
Visionary, Author, and Educator

David Wong has spent over a decade deeply immersed in every facet of the pearl industry—from cultivation and wholesale to design and retail. However, his journey took a transformative turn when he looked beyond the pearl as a luxury item and saw it as a biological miracle.

Witnessing the profound environmental benefits of pearl oysters—capable of filtering up to 200 liters of water daily and restoring marine biodiversity—David realized that the pearl industry was a blueprint for the Blue Economy. Driven by the philosophy of "Nature-Human Collaboration" (天人合一) and the biblical mandate of Stewardship (Genesis 1:26-28), he pivoted from traditional commerce to pioneering Sustainable Pearl Education (SPE).

Bridging Myth and Microscope

As the author of the acclaimed book Pearl Decoding (supported by "Create Hong Kong" and the "Hong Kong Publishing Federation"), David has dedicated his career to demystifying the pearl. He moves students from ancient cultural myths to the precision of the Microscope, utilizing AI and his proprietary Metakaku technology to democratize marine data for all.
